yay!! i'm 3rd day post lasik and my pockets' bleeding. :S
i still tend to wake up and want to fumble for my red rectangular specs but i realise the sunnies are still on my nose bridge.
the first few hours after the op are the worst. non stop tearing, nose running as well, and i could hardly open my eyes. wanting to sleep yet unable to sleep for the first 4 hours after the op.
now everything's fine, gone for my checkups and doc's quite cheery and confident about my recovery, then again, he IS always cheery.
the troublesome thing now is washing my face without rubbing my eyes. i wonder how they do it. and to drop eyedrops every half hourly for the next 1 week.
but yay! good or close to perfect vision! =p

i'm doing it.
ive just done my evaluation this morning and im going for lasik surgery this monday and tuesday! but due to the fact that my degree is super high, 900 - 1000+ per eye, yes i know, im blind without glasses, and my cornea is moderately thin, i was recommended the intralase surgery by my doc, instead of the normal surgery.
was quite upset and didnt expect that contact lenses can actually cause so much damage to my cornea. this method of surgery is a bladeless method which saves more cornea tissue together with another tissue saving method, its about 500 bucks more per eye, so it raised my expected expenditure of this surgery to about 4k. faintz. well, if it helps in me going for enhancements if necessary in the future, then its money well spent. *heart pain though.
still a lil apprehensive about it, think i'll be sleepless in serangoon tmr night. *shudders and prays*

broke my right contacts yesterday, and now im pondering whether to go for lasik surgery to end this blurry vision once and for all.
sigh, on one hand i want to wake up with good vision, never hunting for my specs, never needing to spend 5 minutes everyday putting on and taking off my contacts, never to lug extra stuff overseas, never to spend money on broken contacts and solutions.
on the other hand, im so afraid of the results and the consequences. even though it has been quite awhile since the lasik party has entered local scene, im still apprehensive. moreover, now i work in a data centre where the aircon is perpetually 18-20 degrees most of the time, i fear it will add on to the dry eyes.
howhow how??! gonna be a geek this cny.
