i finally did my first 10km! even though i part walk part run, due to the lack of exercise from my back pain for the past 5 mths... but still... i did it! and with my boy too! of cus he had to approve me joinin this thing in the first place.... and i did worry a little abt him joining with me with his heart condition.. but thanks baby.

actually if u think abt it, its really silly to pay $37, wake up at 5am, and join a buncha smelly ppl running a mass run. think the chinese construction workers who were stopped at a zebra crossing were amused to see the sea of red puffing and panting past them early in the morn. lol.
the sea of red.. no guessing who's the fat thigh and who's the hairy one. lol.

when i woke up this morning, i felt like i had been thru a traumatic night.. my whole body refused to move.... gotta live with reality. im really getting old!

I'm so stressed up with husband, friends, reno obligations and trying to save the most money that I can, and managing the pile of work waiting for me to do, that I feel like going home, throw the laptop away and lock myself in without all these for a day.

busy busy weekend.
had a half day off and spent half of the half day gossiping away during lunch with rog. lol. i had wanted to spend the half day a tai tai life reading mags and sipping kopi at borders! ok maybe tai tais dont do dat. lol.
had my 1st adjustment done by dr brett and dumped 1.6k out of my pocket. no choice. its gona come back sooner or later. and it did. the next morning. after my 2nd adjustment, it got worse! well done. i hope its the syndrome of getting worse before getting better.
we wore light on sat and went to tackle the row of jalan besar shops after praying at the temple. our first stop was an unplanned one at royal fanco. we just had a familiar ring to the shop name in our heads after 2 mths of intensive reading on renotalk. heh. the lady in there was verry nice. i think she could tell we werent gonna buy anything that day but she still readily bring out her products to show us when we werent show of how it felt and looked like. a freakin WC costs $250 can u believe it. something u poo in. argh. well we might buy most of our stuffs here since the service was very good and there were many repeat customers who came in while we were there. good sign!
2nd stop was at pj, a highly recommended non aircon place further down the road. well, nothing caught our sight when we walked around the shop, and the boy had said he read that the sales ppl were quite pushy. saw a darn nice looking kitchen mixer, but at $160! no way im gona pay so much for dat man. and a nice master toilet tap. but still wondering if it'll spoil easily due to its height.
3rd stop at adamas, quite branded, most of the things in there were beyond our budget, but we saw a very sleek oval basin for our master counter top. a tad ex too, but still considering since we'll be using it the most often. the guy in there was very nice, young guy also waiting for his flat, he taught us some stuff, gave us some tips, even though he knew he wasnt gonna get any sales from us today.
then kel n ange came and brought us to this abit ulu shop in kelantan lane to look for cheap switches and sockets. woaaaah. the prices were half those in home-fix! even the kdk ceiling fan was cheaper than the cheapest quote my boy got!
at gc marina, this salesgirl, (whom on first look i tot looked like ah lian and will beat me up if i dun buy anything from her), actually gave us the lowest price we've ever heard for a fridge we've been looking around so far. and its even lower than the hdb shops we've been to! but we still didnt confirm with her, im afraid the company will refute such a sale if its too low.
had a little headache coming on, but weekends is the only time we have to do all these receeing. had a misfortunate call regarding work, and almost got recalled back, but dan offered to go back instead.
today we went to the new place to get measurements and match our selected toilet tiles colour. seems not bad! but a few things we wanted to do, couldnt be done. :( no bedside table for the boy cus there was no space, no glass toilet door for me cus removing the stupid door frame will hurt the tiles, and we got no $$ to change more tiles, no full height curtains due to the beam. all these no no nos, however made something smile. our pockets! =D
