its been a loooooooooooooooooooooooong time.
the date is drawing nearer. most of the things are set. although its a simple and small event, its enough to make my puny brain go wild with all the things i need to do. i think i worry too much. i think i am used to and want to do all the big and small things on my own. its 2 weeks away and my room is still in a typhoon swept mess.
accompanied ps to look for some nice gowns to complement her body as shes going abroad for a shoot next month but yet has no idea on wads good on her and wads not. although i wasnt the customer, i still learnt something from the session. preparing for a wedding really has 1000001 things to note.
went for another wedding lunch this afternoon. i think the whole concept of the couple rushing in to cut the (fake) cake, and the couple rushing around tables to take photos, and rushing for a change of gowns and suits and rushing to do the toast and rushing for more photo taking is quite meaningless.
the couple doesnt enjoy it, the guests mostly go there becus they are invited, gobbles the food and rushes home after that. whats really the point of that? they dont have time to say heartfelt words to each other, closer friends are the helpers who end up being so busy that they dont have time for the food. all for what? for show. sadly, we usually cant say anything becus of respect for parents, who will want to tell their friends and relatives that their kids are getting married and finally able to recoup the red packets they've given out all these years. meaningless, i say. but i have no say in it.
on the other hand, ive been doin lotsa shopping online. f21, vs, taiwan sites, lumiere, strawberrynet, LS, gojane, urbanOG.. buying almost everything that is buyable online, so far theres only 1 or 2 sizing mismatches. mumsy's complaining about all the huge packages dat are sent to the house, especially the shoes. hiaks.
